I am new here.
I have a 97 Eclipse RS. It has 85K miles on it.
I am considering install HRC stage 1 turbo kit.
Can someone tell me the difference between
the stage 1 kit($2295) and
Super 16G Turbocharger(Now $499.99)+Install Kit for 95-99 Super 16G($299)=$800?

Dont think it has injectors and fuel system...not sure what else..

The stage 1 kit comes with everything else you need to put a turbo on your non-turbo car - Exhaust manifold, downpipe, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, intake piping, bov, etc.

Stage 1 kit is the full kit....the super 16g bla bla bla...that's just a turbo bro. YOu need a LOT MORE than just that turbo.

Stage 1 kit has no intercooler and the wastegate is set to 5 psi (I think)

Stage 2 kit has intercooler and the wastegate is set at 7 or 8 (I think)

I think that your looking at the install kit for the 4G63 for converting to a 16G. It won't work for your car at all. You need the stuff for the 420A.

Sup Newbie... lol I still remember everyone here on the board calls me that when I first posting questions about turbo and rebuild engine... damn... some tough times man.

Remember guys, I keep on going to teh Ebay, find a cheap used manifold, and ask if it is good for 420A engine (lol, at that time, I don't even konw what is 420A) LOL.

As MANY MANY others told me (which I don't want to listen) Custom Turbo kit is THE WAY to go (if you are not loaded with $$$)

I mean, exactly 7 months ago, I know jack shit about engine bay. Anything... Now, I rebuilt my g/f's eclipse, got all my custom turbo kit parts... and now, I am just waiting to rebuild my own engine with JE PISTON and dadadadada... and I am set to go!!!

All you need is read every post here, ask all the questions you can, then after 5 months you will be an expert like all of use.

Why spend $3000 on some kit that STILL don't give you quality parts, while I can build one myself WITH THE BEST parts, and still only cost lower then $2000 (w/ FMIC ok guys!)

Just think about it! Took me 2 months before I decided to go for custom kit!

the 499$ deal is hahns sale on turbos rxr they ahve too muchs tock trying to dump it...

my turbo kits will debute ina couple weeks..

the 499 kit is for the 4g63
if you want a turbo kit for the 420a it will cost you in teh 2-3G's range......

That's is why "CUSTOM KIT" is better and worth the $$$ and time!
