50528, What turbo stuff could I put in before the turbo is actually on?

The only things possible would be the fuel pump, SFMU, and gauges, but can I put any of it on before I actually get my turbo on? If I put the fuel pump in, wouldn't I be getting too much fuel? With the SMFU, wouldn't it just not to anything? There would be no boost hookup, so wouldn't it just be a wasted hunk of metal. Gauges....hook up for vacuum, but no boost line yet. EGT could plug in and wire and shit, but it wouldn't be hooked up to the exhaust manny yet. So what do you guys think?

you can install the fuel pump and gauges. everything will be fine. also sfmu would be ok too because it wont raise the fuel pressure unless it sees boost.

Yea man, you can put EVERYTHING on except the mainfold, turbo, and DP still be ok to drive :) I had everything on my car for a couple of months before I finally put on my manifold, turbo and DP.

yeah exactly, thats the way to go, work at it until its complete. its alot less frustrating that way anyhow. so first get your fuel system complete. throw in your gauges. you can even install oil lines if you wanted, youd just have to connect the send and return line to each other until you hvae the turbo to hook them into. bolt your intercooler where you want. do it all. then in one quick afternoon install the turbo, the intake charge pipes, and either bolt on your premade kit downpipe, or drive it to a shop with the exhaust pouring straight out of the 02 downpipe sectoin at the turbo and have a custom downpipe welded up.
