Yes you can do it, but really theres no point. You'll make more power with a single turbo and its a lot cheaper.

Yeah, you could make a quad turbo if you really set your mind to it...doesn't mean it's a good idea though.

Right, but you gotta admit that a sequential twin turbo RS/GS would be pretty cool. I've seen a sequential twin turbo on a Ford F350 with the cummings turbo diesel engine in it. The 1st turbo was a t-25 and the 2nd was a 20g and the truck dyno'd 650... It really isnt the most practical way to make power but it is pretty cool how it all sounds and feels. I like how you can feel the 2nd turbo kick in in a sequential setup. If I had unlimited money, I'd do it just to do it :7 .

The big difference being there that a f350 is either a 5.4L or a 6.8L. Our engines are 2.0L... nowhere near enough exhaust to make 2 turbos practical... Hell if I had the money id do it too, it would be awesome to have a twinturbo setup, anyone with that would win tons of car shows. But then, you'd be beated on the road with a guy running a single 16g.

This is right. 2.0 twin turbo? I dun see alot of point to it.

yeah the idea of "twin turbo" just sounds good, but single for our cars is way better!

I can't find anything from NOPI. The only conversion I'm aware of was a home-spun dual-T25 unit a few years ago. It was all over the Talon Digest. Everyone trashed him, but he built it anyway. I believe that it didn't work well, but it was completed. You might search the Talon Digest archves on www.dsm.org.

The idea of a twin-turbo four cylinder is certainly intriquing. We did one back in 1990 based upon a highly modified Porsche 959 replica. The engine was a flat-four aircooled of 2.5 liters. We used two IHI RHB5 units, with internal wastegates (naturally!). It was a ball to drive, very responsive and 'boosty'. Fortunately, as a mid engine car that had no trunk any longer, we had lots of space to lay out the components, way more than under the hood of a 2GNT!

We have also built a record-setting drag Harley with a turbo and alky injection. Rode that one myself, what a kick that was! 'Course, that was two cylinders driving one turbo.

Would you want to do it for a street car 2GNT? I'd say only if you were looking for awesome shock power at shows. Such a setup cold be achieved as ultimate eye candy, but the cost would be way high vs. performance as compared to a single setup. But if one must have it, and one also has the cheese to achieve it, it could be a real showstoppa!
