Okay before anyone says anything, Im not running the stock pump for my turbo kit, im going with the walbro 255. Basically I want to install all the lines and SFMU and injectors before i boost (turbo is NOT on the car and wont be until manifold arrives) to make sure that I got everything right and that the lines arent leaking or anything. Im still saving for my fuel pump so I have to use the stock one for now. The car will still be in its N/A state.

Can this be done? Would I have to change anything around when the walbro pump goes in? I can still set the idle/static pressures, right?

nah, you wouldn't really have to change much when the walbro goes in and you're boosted. as long as you have the 3.62 (largest, can't remember the exact size) disk in there you'll be all set. you'll have the oppurtunity to tune your vacuum fuel curves too. i think idle is around 44-45 psi and static is around 55 with stock injectors? i can't remember.

what size injectors will you be running?

Ill be running 315cc injectors. Basically I want to install the entire fuel system minus the fuel pump.

Can I drive around with the SFMU connected while im not boosted? I belive you have to take out your stock FPR, right? So will the SFMU work normally when the FPR is removed?

I bought my SMFU used, and I dont know if I have all the disks/springs. Unless the dark spring is in the SFMU itself, I have the silver spring and a bunch of disks. How can you tell how big the disks are?

I can easily figure out all the boost pressure settings for the SFMU, but I could never figure out what idle/static pressures to run. Thanks.

you won't have any problem, in fact, this is actually a much better way to break up the install. that way you can iron out any fuel issues w/o blowing anything up. the car doesn't know there's no turbo on there, it's just like driving around w/ the turbo on and not boosting. anyway, it's a good thing to do, and i ran like this for a couple weeks before the turbo went on. get your fuel trims adjusted for the most part, and it'll make it a lot easier once the turbo goes on. you might have to adjust them a bit after the walbro goes on though, since it pushes more than the stocker, but no biggie.

And yes, the dark spring and the other disc/ring is in the sfmu right now ;) i needed it in to get the correct fuel pressure running those 315s at 12psi, i didnt bother disassembling it when i mailed it to ya :thumbsup

To tell how big the discs are and what their approximate rising rate is, just measure their diamter and compare them to the chart on the 2nd page of the sfmu instructions. I know i didnt include them cause i dont have them anymore, but i have them online at my site (link is in the sig)

So the stock FPR must be removed, right? Also what would the idle/static settings be with 315's? I know the rising rate is dependant on the static pressure, wanna make sure I get it right :)

im not 100% sure, but i beleive my idle pressure was around 20-22psi w/ the 315's

about the stock fpr, your supposed to but i never removed mine off my 95 and everythign still worked as it should :shrug:

my idle/static is about 23/36psi. you should remove the stock fpr.
