49282, Turbo and Nitrous?

I was reading around and i heard that its very very hard to run nitrous w/ turbo. Is this true? Why? What kinds of things can you do to run them together?

Thanks

Chris

i know a few people running both. one of them has a GST and has a supra TT with single turbo. from what i was told the nitrous is used more to cool the intake charge since the turbo is supplying the extra o2. just like with any high HP turbo or n2o system you need to upgade your block and head to handle it and make sure your getting enough fuel to the engine.

Well what if it's a direct port system that supplys the fuel WITH the n20. I mean...if you build a block to take 500hp, and you're only getting 250 out of the turbo, couldn't you run a 200 direct port shot? If someone could also explain how timing control comes into the picture with a big shot of nitrous that would be good. Is a big shot like a turbo where high boost requires timing control?
