49248, GS's with cruise control ....FPR

Has anybody with a GS taken the cruise control out?? It's a pain to get to the FPR with the cruise control in the way all the time. I've been thinking about taking it out since I've really only used it like twice, but I don't know how to run the throttle cable ... and I don't know anyone with a RS that I can look at. Anyone do this? Anyone got pics?

Should be able to get a factory throttle cab;e from the dealer and install that in the place of the cruise, then eliminate the vacuum box, etc.

But... did you ever concider using or switching to the rear wsher reservoir, mounting it over there by the brake fluid reservoir, slide battery as far forward as it will go and try to get it over there? I'm not sure if it's too big to fit or not. But my last reseort would be to eliminate the cruise, I like road trips.

why don't you run a fuel hose from the rail to the fpr and move it to the other side of the engine bay (by the battery) I took out my windshield washer reservoir and put the fmu there fits very nicely. :)
as for the throttle cable, just make sure that when you bolt it back on it is fairly tight, so no slack.

Hmmm, I never thought of taking out the washer fluid bottle. I do like to clean my windows more than I like to use cruise control though. I'll have to give this some thought.

Tap your rear res. so you still have the function. Take the pump off the front res. and mount it on the rear res. Run a water line from the rear up to the front. Run two wires off the stock harness back to the pump.

Short and sweet but you get the idea.

This way you eliminate the big bulky front reservoir but you can still clean the front windows and you free up some room to mount.

That's not a bad idea either^^^^. I'll definately tuck that one for future reference. Right now I have the FPR slammed in there good (I'll have to post a pic) and everything is running ok, ..... but we all know how sensetive the Craptech is and how much adjustment they need. I was just trying to think of a place where I could access better then having it buried under the CC. Thanks for the ideas guys. :P
