1998 Eclipse RS. Nothing great here.
Added the turbo wing and lowered it
down. More to come.

No. Fuel Management Unit raises your fuel pressure in relation to boost; Air/Fuel controller alters your MAP voltage to fool the ECU into dumping in more or less fuel without any relation to boost.

*SMACK* vortech sfmu adjusts fuel in relation to boost. Sfmu will not directly control air/fuel mixture. The fuel rises with the boost pressure. SAFC will help you in fine tuning the air and fuel mixture. Sfmu works off the boost pressure inside the manifold while the safc will work off the MAP sensor.

same difference. Big question you should be asking is should I go with stand alone or piggy back? Depends on how your budget is. Most guys will just go with the apexi SAFC, widely universal and affordable. As for me, I'm going with the SMT6 which is another piggy back, almost like the greddy emanage but a lot cheaper and somewhat better. For more info on that you're gonna have to ask Bill aka Motofool.

Are you turbo? If not then don't buy that SFMU. You could get the SAFC but I don't know what gains you would see if your all stock.

well, i will be turbo. i am gonna get the apexi avcr boost controller, i dont where i am gonna mount all these huge apexi units. :( i need some good solutions for mounting. i am thinking about building a small platform type thing that will extend from the pasenger side of my center console to mount everything there. give me ideas everyone, and lets see your setups!

TIA

man I kinda miss my small in size, big in ugly RS rims *sniff sniff*

I had a S-AFC with my turbo set up, something went haywire and I started tossin CELs, the S-AFC blew up, I uninstalled the wiring and stuff and the CEL went away.

I gonna go with a S-FMU when I go stage III, Im just warning the board that I'll have TONS of questions

you know you're gonna have to rebuild the internals right?
