49018, It happened agaih....

1st gear launch out of the hole up to 13psi and the car starts bogging afterwards. I get the CEL 43 back which is misfire. I do some common sense tests and find that my A/F guage reads 1.XXX at wot in 2-5th gear from then on. Makes me to believe its either the fpr not set right or one or more of 30ib injectors are held open for some reason flooding the system. Or is it maybe that the nisfire causes the fuel in one of the cylinders to not ignite which causes the CEL 43. I just changed my plugs like 2 days ago. This is starting to get annoying. Someone must have the answer. Also how do you adjust the cartech fpr for boost? I'm going counterclose wise to turn the boost fuel pressure down.

well I would old skool it... read your plugs. If you got a plug or two that are just black and full of carbon, somthing is up probably with your pressure.

ok I replaced the NGK BKR6E-11 (the V power ones) with the NGK BKR6ES-11 which is the resistance one. By the way the old plugs were only a day old and when I took them out, they were pitch black with carbon. It was driving fine for a while unitl I decided to gun it again. And guess what? Bogging comes back the CEL 43 comes back plus the CEL 17 which is engine running too cold/thermostat. I assume 17 came on because for the last 30 minute drive my egt didn't go over 1000F. Is that right all you experts out there? If not then what is CEL 17 and how do I fix it? Someone must know why my spark plugs keep fouling up and I keep getting misfires. By the way plugs are gapped at .032. Those of you who run the one range colder what kind of plugs are you running and what are the exact model numbers? Can we use platinum or iridium plugs? My fuel I guess I fixed. I played with the static and idle fp. I disconnected the vacuum hose from the cartech and left the fp at 40psi. I put the vacuum hose back on and left the idle at 19-20psi. I get about 100psi at 13psi of boost.

Well you need to get rid of that craptech, AFAIK the thing does not hold the fuel pressures, so if that's the case then you drive it for a bit, it looses it's settings and then your car don't run right. I know it's not electronic, but I have heard from many Hahn guy's that it does not hold where they set it. So it may be forgetting it's settings and dumping mad fuel, which sounds like what is going on. I don't know anyone who is going above "stock" kit boost on that reg. I have the star kit though so this is all heresay.

Yeah, ditch the cartech and check your coilpack and wires.

Idiot alert. Two of my wires were giving a good amount of resistance, but that wasn't the problem. I was so blind to not see that the pcv valve that broke up was completely off. This caused the messed up idle and the misfires. Vacuum leak was pretty bad. No wonder it happens after big boost. But as soon as I replace the pcv pipe, the CEL went away by itself and the car is smooth as ever. So no need to dump money into a new coil pack, more plugs or some wires. Sorry for the run around fellas.
