48989, wastegate(sorry for another post) Posted by Justin99RS, May-17-03 09:53 AM
ok, well now the oil line problem is resolved i am having wastegate issues....ok...when i first started the car the wastegate was open letting exhaust out- i took 97ECLIPSE'S advice and turned the screw down to where it wasn't leaking exhuast...but when i drove it the boost ran right up to 10psi where i quickly let off te gas....so what am i doing wrong?? or is the wastegate fucked???

oops sorry forgot to reply. Uhm , weird. So its a stage 2 right? if it isnt and it reached 10 psi, then either you have the wrong spring in there, or you have a FUBAR'd WG.

actually a 7 psi spring withh let him reach 8 to 10 at high speed (said so in the manual), but he could also be using a boost controller.
when you loosened the nut to adjust the wastegate screw, did you remember to tighten it?
