I know exactly how you feel. Last summer, I was so excited about my turbo coming in the mail. I even had dreams about driving around town squeeling tires and sounding the BOV. I had some bad tuning nightmares later on . I was so happy when my AFC came in the mail this spring, I opened the box and cuddled it like a kitten. My girlfriend thought I was nuts. She's gotten used to it by now.
