48788, No gaskets on wastegate... Posted by HadesOmega, May-14-03 11:32 PM
ok I got a pretty dumb question but is it ok to run the deltagate on the Star kit without gaskets? Because I welded this BIG ass elbow on my dump pipe and it was touching the downpipe so I took the gaskets out so I could get more clearance. I figured since the turbo and downpipe attach without gaskets it might be ok :P ne1 running it like that?

would be a good idea to have them...
but if u dont leak without u *can* run it like that what i would do is get some the of the red silicone exhaust sealant the Super High temp grade. Then just goop up the connection and run it like that if u got clearance issues..

I've never had one... Mine didn't come w/ one. No problems for me. That face on the manifold should be ground flat and smooth which means you should seal off no problems.
