how many if any have had their ecu reprogrammed to see boost instaed of using the missing link and stuff to control it. if you have had anything done to the ecu, say so. thanks in advance!!

as far as im aware, you cant re-program our ECU's at all.

well you can tweak it... a/fx has already, but you really can't make it do things it wasn't able to do stock. so, no, i doubt our ecu will ever be reprogrammed to see boost. maybe some day someone will come out w/ a replacement that does, but not anytime soon. for now the only thing you can do in that form is get a piggy back computer that'll control the injectors/timing. like the dfi, e-manage, or the smt-6 or something, i forgot the name.

so i take it that it is not even possible to reprogram the 2gnt ecu. a friend of mine says that a company called jet can. i told him i would look into it but that i didnt think anybody on the board had actually reprogrammed their ecu to see boost and change the timing and stuff. i am looking at a full rebuild with 8.5:1 rods and pistons, stage 3 crane cams, port and polish of everything, stage 3(whenever it comes out, hopefully next month) hrc turbo kit, etc.. he said that i should get reprogram the ecu. oh well, i guess i will have an "I told you so" for this argument. :thumbsup

JET ECU's for the 2GNT are total crap. Someone persued this WAY back in the day, and they actually LOST power with it. Others have sent ECUs to JET, and have been sent back stock ECUs with a "JET" sticker on it. Don't waste your time.
