most of the time the car will start up as normal, you know you turn the key, it turns over for a second or so and catches. the thing is, that sometimes it won't catch right away, but i'll have to let it turn over for a good 4-5 seconds before it'll catch. anyone ever have this problem? it happens randomly. it could happen after sitting for a long period of time(days) or just a few minutes or hours, and it only happens once in a while. it's like when a car gets flooded, but i can't see how that can be. any thoughts? is it normal. most know my setup: 30#, sfmu, walbro intank

I get the same exact thing on occasion. I have noticed this has to do with fuel pressure and the SFMU i believe. If that happens, i would just turn off the key, then turn it back to the run position to prime the fuel pump again, then crank it over, and it fires right up. I dont get it either, but it has to do with the fuel pressure. Just stop cranking the motor if it doenst fire up right away, the turn the key off, then back to run to prime the pump, then crank it, it should fire right up. I'm not sure why it does this, but this technique works every time for me, but it doenst do it very often..

ok, at least it's not out of the ordinary. like you said, it doesn't happen too often. when it does happen, though, i've noticed it's more likely to happen after it's been driven recently and then sat for an hour or so. don't know why this is. glad i'm not the only one :)

Same exact problem here. Not sure what the deal is. Mine usually only does it after driving for a while, but like you said it doesn't always do it. I'm running the S-FMU and Hahn inline too.
