what makes us need one but not say, an SRT-4?

i thought the 97 plus years didnt have one?

97+ has one but it is from the stock FPR(by the fuel filter) to the tank, so you don't see it.

All FPRs use a fuel return line. If the FRP is located back near the tank, it's a short return line (97+ 2gnt)... if the FPR is located under the hood (like the S-FMU), then it's a long fuel return line.

Yep... but the reason you need to run one, is because you need to hook it up to the FMU or whatever you use in place of that, so you need to run a new one to the engine...

I suppose someone smart (or really dumb for that matter) might have been able to make a way to regulate fuel without a return line to the tank, but I don't see any way possible, other than perhaps a fuel pump with a built-in electronic regulator. Don't think it exists though. The only way to regulate fuel pressure is to send the excess back to the tank, in one manner or another.

Oh, btw... I believe it's 96+ with the FPR near the tank, not just 97-99. I have a 96, with the fpr near the tank.

I think that the new RSX's use a regulating fuel pump with a returnless system. I could be wrong though. A guy I work with said something about this. He is pretty avid when it comes to honda/ acura stuff.

why we even mentioning the "H" or "A" word around these forums, tsk tsk..anyways, the guy who did my fuel system, says there is a way to return the fuel back without having to run a line all the way back to the tank. he did it on my eclipse, im gettin the recommended fuel pressure, and my car has not died or blown on me. im not really sure, but he said that there are 5 or 6 lines coming out of the tank?? and 2 of them are being run for evap, so he checked each one of them and got one thats not really being used. saved me money, saved me the headache.

p.s. my FPR is AEM and im running 440cc injectors/fuel pump/SAFC/Missing Link
