Well..... here is yet another exhaust question. Ok. I have the hrc stage 2 kit. I want to order the thermal 3" exhaust soon, and also a hi-flow cat. The downpipe on the turbo kit is 2 1/4". What size cat should I get? The 3" or 2 1/4"? Ill be taking this to a local 'muffler shop' to get this put on, but how is this going to work if he has to go from a 2 1/4" to 3" pipe? Will it even fit/work? Or should I go with the 2 1/2" exhaust/cat combo? TIA!:thumbsup

I have the HRC kit, so I have a 2 1/4" downpipe, a 2 1/4" testpipe, and the 3" Thermal catback. The Thermal necks down to 2 1/2" where it bolts up to the cat (or testpipe) so it will bolt up to the 2 1/4" testpipe just fine.

Ok. The thermal does go down to 2.5 at the begining. So..... should I get the 2.5" cat, or get the 3" cat and have the shop cut off the 2.5" part on the exhaust? (The 2.5 at the begining isnt that long)Is there really any difference between a 2.5" and 3" cat besides the price. Any performance difference?
