Do 2GNTs have more aftermarket turbo'd enthusiasts cars then any other make/model?
What I'm saying is take all the 2GNTs and remove all the one's owned by people who don't mod their cars, then of whats left it seems like we have more turbo'd cars per capita then any other non-turbo car. Maybe it's just my exposure to this board, I dunno...?

I've seen a good number of turbo integras around here in San Diego. They seem to be the "in" car to put a turbo kit on around these neck of the woods..

There's turbo DSMs, and nonturbo DSMs. When you have a nonturbo DSM and get looked-down on by turbo owners, wouldn't you want to turbocharge your car just to show them you could, and to prove your car is "worthy" ?
That's why we have a lot of aftermarket turbo cars.

When our other models come turbo charged I think more follow in their footsteps. Also, I don't know of one 11 second all-motor 2gnt to base a setup on. No supercharger either. Turbo is about it.

I think I know all the turbo guys in CT, atleast up to this point. Might be others this year, but atleast we stick together, in person or the board. I think maybe there might be more turbo Civic's in general but there are more of them total. However most aren't anything to brag about. They don't look as hot as a 2G. And they rarely have each others back. I guess we should be glad to have 2GNT, for NT and turbo 420A's....

I've never even come across a turbo'd Honda or 2GNT in person ever. It's probably just my locale. I live in a sorta richy-rich bitch ass area, and all the kids around here rock mega-buck SUV's, Trans AMs and new Mustangs. Gotta represent for the 2GNT's... going turbo in 2 weeks. :)

i've seen lots of aftermarket turbo cars - everything from Civics to Integras to Preludes. All mean.. very very mean. It's not hard (per se) to take an NA car with a good VE, strap a turbocharger on it, and make a beast. Most NA motors these days are very well built and designed, enough that there is some leeway in their tuning and power production - a NA 420A motor can make (IDEALLY!!) about 300wHP before it overcomes the ability of the stock motor. A stock Integra LS motor, as far as i understand, can only take 6-7psi off a small turbo before it starts to bend rods. Correct me if i'm wrong. However, that stock LS motor at 6-7psi will probably be running mid 13's, where we run mid 14's. We have the advantage of a cast iron block that requires no sleeves, no aftermarket reinforcement, nothing other than pistons and rods to make 600+HP. Our cylinder head is nothing to laugh at either - cars have gone 9's at 140+ MPH on the stock Neon casting with no porting, and our head is not much different and if anything, is perfectly reversed.
Anyway, i ramble, and my opinions spew forth like carbon and fuel vapor from my exhaust. The simple fact is we do it because we can, our block can take it with no aftermarket reinforcement, and to prove that it can be done easily, cheaply (relatively), and at any time on any 420A. HRC proves it - Add the right pistons, the right rods, the right fuel, and little else and your 420A will go. Period.

^^^ Dino has it perfect It seams that all of the import mags are all talking about aftermarket turbo systems now. How to do a custom setup etc. It seams as if you are behind the times if your not turbo.

i'd have a turbo kit right now if you wouldn't have ripped me off on that "turbo kit" you(Collente) sold me. it was more like "turbo shit". what a waste of $1500.

Do I detect some bitterness?

Ya know if you really think about it, there's like what, 4000 members on this board and I bet 3000 of them aren't turbo charged - at least. So let's say for arguments sake there are a 1000 turbo charged 2GNT cars on this board - considering this board is nation wide and even international, that really isn't that many cars ... at least I don't think. Plus, if you think about all the n/t 2Gs out there, .... and I bet there aren't too many turbo cars that aren't members here. It'd be kinda hard to survive with a turbo'd N/T without this board.
