Since the weather is warmer, and it's race season, I switch to Mobil 1 15W50:thumbsup

I must be the only one running regular oil which is what I have used since day one. I use Valvoline 10W-30 motor oil with a Fram oil filter. It is changed every 2,500 miles with level checks every 500 miles in between.

I haven't had any problems and my last compression test checked out at 215 psi across all cylinders.

Mobil 15W-50 Full Synthetic.

valvoline 20w 50 due to my oil leak. I have to add a quart every week. I cant seem to find the source of the leak. I really need to get under there and clean everything so I can see where its coming from. But before the leak I used to run mobile one 10w30

some type of generic non synthetic 10w30. next oil change i'll put in mobil 1 15w50, because i'll be far past the breakin period (4000+ miles) and it will be safe for synthetic.

What should I use to break in my freshly rebuilt engine. I normally run Moble 1 10w30 synthetic.

Use conventional cheap-ass 5w30. After about 1000 miles, switch to synthetic.

The "easy pour" opening :thumbsup Seriously I just use it because I heard a lot of good things about it so I started using it and just stuck to it.

Normal Valvoline 5W-30 for now. I'm not sure if i will switch back to Mobil 1 full synthetic...I need to put on prob another 1000 miles on the new motor and then i will decide :)

amsoil for my new motor 10w 30 full synthetic turbo forumulated oil,

recommended oil change every 15k,

ill probably have about 7 quarts with the remote qual oil filter setup and 2.4 oil pan with no balance shafts, ill proabbly go further then 15k on 7qaurts cause of the way ill have it setup,

but thats ya know pretty advanced stuff =)

Based on a few tests, many so called synthetic, were actually blends. And I remeber alot of people saying the last man standing was Mobil 1, reason since then I use it. I personally tried Royal Purple and was not happy with it. Maybe there are other true Syn's out there, but I just like Mobil 1. So if it's not broke... you know. Also I have heard the Evo uses Mobil 1 Syn. Helps with emmisions, like us turbo guys care, and also helps retain full power, which, us turbo 420A guys need every HP...:D

I use Mobil 1 because most F-1 race cars and tuners around the work uses it, and various tests have shown Mobil 1 to consistently be on the top. Plus, it's formulated for turbocharged cars. Another brand I use,if Mobil 15W50 is not available, is Amsoil 10W40 (turbo formula).

used mobil 1 15w50 on the old motor...new motor im using castrol dino oil until 5K miles, then ill go back to mobil 1 ;)

my oil setup was B&M oil cooler and short pureone oil filter.

I ran:
Castrol GTX 10w-40

but after the rebuild I'm going to use Mobil1 full sythetic 10w-30

but really though if you change your oil during the recommended interval you'll be fine. I've opened engines where there was literally sludge in there and the bearing were swimming in all this muck and dirt. I believe running your engine with clean oil as much as possible will make it last forever. When I opened my 420A it was squeaky clean couldn't find a single problem with it other than blown rings and pistons.

red line 10w30 it gets a little expensive though. I use about 7 containers. It doesnt actually come in quarts. late mike
