47664, stage II is up and running! and a big thank you... Posted by soulcontroller, Apr-27-03 04:10 PM
I've finally entered the wonderful world of boost. And I love it! the hahn Stage II w/ FMIC is in. only had a few hangups (hahn fpr, bov fitment issues), but everything runs great! It's like an entirely different car.
My suggestion to everyone however, is get an sfmu, as it's a pain to re-adjust the idle fuel pressure every time you start the car. And a new BOV, the 3000gt valve likes to leak. (it's not routed back into the intake for us).
A big thanks to XtremeRS and MATT95tgs for the help, I couldn't have done it without you guys. And the only casualties of the day was Matt 1's eye and Matt 2's wrench hehe.
I'm quite happy with the setup. Thanks all!

Hey, no prob man :) I was very curious to see what boost felt like in an auto, and I must say, its pretty damn nice! Now just get yourself a MBC to get rid of the pressure drop with the FMIC, and you will be all set. Oh and yeah, too bad you didnt have the right fittings for the SFMU, as that Cartach sucks. Really sucks. Sucks major ass. Sucks more than...well you know. But that fine FMIC makes up for it think :o dam, that things baaaaaaddddd assssssssss Happy boostin! The ride has begun hahah

I'm bummed that I wasnt there to wrap it up, but at least we were able to get the vast majority done on Saturday. That fmic really is badass... I reaaaaaaly want one now. Hopefully we can meet up again soon and get in some good drivin and fine tuning. My eye was still red last night from that damn metal shaving. That's the last time that I cut a downpipe underneath the car with an angle grinder and no glasses... yea I'm a real genius lol.

You guys need to be VERY careful when there's a possibility of getting metal shavings in your eye! 2 of my friends have gotten metal shavings in their eyes in the past, and they start to rust in just hours, or already have rust on them. This rust needs to be removed with tools like needles and surgical dremels!! This rust can also lead to partial or total blindness if not removed quickly. So PLEASE, be careful!!
