well w/ 21ish psi idle fp, the ecu threw a code lean. seems odd, but i richened it up to about 22.5psi and it ran fine. for the most part throughout the runs, my egt's never got above 800C on any hard WOT pulls... pretty good. my stft stayed mostly within the +-5 range and wandered higher here and there, but not too much. the thing that is confusing me is my timing. the logged data shows as much as 43* advance at some points. now, i'm not sure if i'm reading it correctly. the pocketlogger viewer does measure timing in +- degrees correct? it just seems odd. the car ran strong, boosted fine, and had pretty low egt's. most of the areas where there was a lot of timing advance, i noticed, were when the throttle was around 13%. thought i'd run this all by you fellas... what'ya think?

at partial throttle and cruising conditions, 30-40+ degrees advance seems normal. ecu does this to maximize efficiency during those conditions.

what was your timing at WOT tho?

hmmm... i know i had at least a couple secs here and there where i went WOT, but the highest tps value in the data tables taht i can find is 75% . i know my throttle plate opens all the way b/c i just recently checked all that. anyway, at 75% the highest timing i saw was 15*. there's a value at 74% w/ 19* advance, and i saw 20* advance at 72%.

Is it possible that TPS angle (TPS mod) could change timing advance or is it only the MAP that has something to do with it?

20 degrees of advance at wot running stage 2 boost levels is fine. Just make sure it doesn't get near the 30 deg mark or it will start pinging. I get about 20 deg of advance at 16 psi of boost and I know i could probably get away with adding a few more degrees with good gas. I would say that if you are running stock pistons, then you are about right on the money for safety and performance as far as timing is concerned.

great, now for the tps vals... is 75% the highest value? just curious. i know i did some WOT pulls, but like i said, there's no tps value over 75.

I remember a thread that Corbin started awhile back and evryone agreed that reading was normal and that it never went all the way to 100%. I've never payed attention to that number so I don't know personally.
