haha ok there really is no such thing as a Star Stage III Special Edition but my Star kit is special now ^_^ I just got done port and polishing my star manifold. Boy I'll tell you this the star manifold has a lotta inperfections it had lots of dips and bumps on it which can't be good for flow. I tried to get most of them smoothened out. Cast iron sure smells a lot when its being grinded >.<. I also ported out the turbine flange because I saw some carbon build up on the flange, which means that the turbine flange on the turbine housing is bigger than the flange on the exhuast manifold. So I ported it out to match it and then polished it goodie :) Then I painted it with copper gasket spray cuz I heard it turns gunmetal after it burns up.

Then I decided man the turbo is like the first thign you look at when you open up the hood so I took a stab at polshing the compressor housing. I didn't think I could do it but I think it turned out out, with my newly acquired port and polshing skillz I made it happen. I basically went over the whole thing with a 60 grip cartride roll, then a 120 grit, and then finished it off with a coarse and fine crossbuffs w/ WD40. Then I polished it a bit more with blue magic. Not the best job I've seen but not bad for the home mecahnic :thumbsup

Looks good man! How long did it take you to polish up that compressor? And what did you use to do it? I want to do it to mine.

I used my handy dandy die grinder hooked up to an air compressor (I guess you could use a dremel would take a while if you have a big snail like mine) and my port and polishing kit. I just wanted to see if I could polish the compressor using the techniques I learned port and polishing and what do you know it worx like a charm. How I did it was how I explained above.

Looks good... I tried to polish the tanks on my 1G intercooler, didn't work very well so I just painted it silver :)

You should spray your turbine housing with the copper spray too.

yeh just sprayed it today :) that stuff makes it hella sticky though I guess that's why they call it gasket adhesive. Have you tried blue magic on your intercooler I got my intercooler bling bling with it.
