from what i have heard, the safc can be used for fine tuning your a/f ratio, but i dont think its needed

no. most people try not to use it at all because of timing advance issues. however, the S-AFC gives you the oppurtunity to do some nice fine tuning, for example if you match up your boosted and static fuel pressures but that throws off your idle pressure, you can correct using the AFC.

You pretty much need some sort of fuel tuning device with injectors larger than 390cc. Other then that you should be albe to tune fairly well with the S-FMU.

dude i'am running 440cc right now. s-afc unplugged and it runs better on em then the stock ones. go figure.

Yeah, I'm running DSM 450cc injectors now with only an S-FMU.
