i hear Eagle makes a few different types of rods for us. theres a cheap one, and then a good kind, and a extreme kind.
the one which howell carries is the H style right? this is the good one right?
just wanna make sure before i order them.

I don't think they have one better than the H-Beams, but I tend to be wrong ALOT.
But yes the ones that howell carries are the ones you want. You can get them cheaper than howell and you can go pick them up in Riverside if you like... Just drop me an Email and I will give you the guys name and number.

the onlye eagle rods that are available are the H beam which are the good ones, good to 3-500hp respectively

Just looking at my box... they make H-beam and I-beam, altho probably not both for our application. I generally hear H-beam is better, and I think our stock rods are I-beam. *shrug*

The I-beam is a stock replacement rod. The H-beam is a 500Hp rod.

thanks guys. best price i got so far is $339 for the Eagle H-beam forged rods. can anyone beat that?
when i spoke to someone, they said, the I beam rod ( or stock kind ) is weaker then our stock one.. i remember he mention Dinos name. saying there are building him a head?
whoever can get me the eagle h beam rods, could you get me the 77 rod and main bearings, crane valve springs and titanium retainers, rc 440cc injectors, and either ferrea or si ss valves.
i need the price on those, and if they are in stock.
those are the only parts i need for my rebuild.

Probably Mike Jury (rpm97talon) from Clear Lake Speed.. He's in the coast gaurd and he's deployed right now, but he can get them for much cheaper than $399. He should be back sometime this summer, but i am sure you don't want to wait..

i think the guys name is Don Polk? hell no.. by this summer i should have the long block in my little purple beast, and i hope atleast at 15psi with no prob...:7

ive seen the eagle rods go in group buys @ groupbuycenter.com for MUCH less than 399...like 320-350

Hey Michael, the guy I was talking about is turning out to be a flake, I don't think I would trust him with the amount of money he says you have to put down... Not too reputable of a shop either, yet that is. I think he was just blowing smoke saying he could give all these hooked up prices, just for sake of conversation. Really disappointing if you ask me...
