I need a make myself a catch can to keep the blow by from pushing my oil out. I was thinking, what if the line from the breather was on the bottom of the can so it would suck the oil back into the motor under vac. Then thier would be a line on top that goes to my air filter so once the oil is in it can get air. would this work? tia!

Instead of running it back to your air filter, why not just get a breather filter for the top of the can?

that would work, but i am wondering if its safe to have the breather suck the oil back in from the can. is this ok?

17 psi of vac isn't going to be enough to suck the oil back in...
The only way a drain can would work is if you mounted it higher than the valve cover, and let gravity take it's course.

I don't know about making the oil go back in, but I heard someone say they used a fuel filter as a catch can. I think this sounds kinda cool cause you can see when it gets full. Just an idea... anyone done this with pics?
