I'm running 310cc injectors, 25psi idle fuel pressure. My Inline fuel pump is super loud. Once I start boosting, and fuel pressure rises, the sound will dissipate. What I'm wanting is a quiet fuel system. I don't need a walbro 255 for any performance reason, however I would buy one purely to get rid of the loudness of my current setup. I know it is 'documented' to quiet things a bt, but will it help me a lot, or is my only choice to go with the 8 injector setup, and run stock injectors at a higher idle fp to rid of the noise...

I just can't take it anymore. At 55psi the inline is fine, but with bigger injectors at a lower fp....jesus something has got to change. Any help is appreciated.

p.s. Anyone know any tricks to quiet this thing. Maybe buy some dynomat and make a 'box' for the pump....any creative ideas are welcome...it's fuggin loud.

Umm...:wary, I am not sure who told you the Whinebro inline is quieter but you should never talk to them cause they might be deaf. I have it and it's LOUD. And I run stock injectors. I have heard guys use the dynomat but it's not very quiet after that either. My solution, crank the system, and still...But be sure it's not quieter than the Accel or others..

i have the walbro w/ 30lb injects and no inline... i'll take some sound clips this weekend. at least w/ only the walbro intank you can dynomat underneath the rear seat if you don't like it... a lot easier than dynomatting a box around the inline.

Im talking about adding a Walbro intank to my setup but still leaving the inline.

i have the setup that you're looking for. i disagree with Jasvb, i'm not sure exactly which walbro pump i recieved because it was shady ebay, but it's a LOT quieter than it used to be with the "raped pig" HRC inline pump. i can hear myself think. the only time you'll really hear it at all is at idle. anything above 10-12" of vacuum and i can't really hear it at all.

Yeah and I was thinking inline when Ryan was talking in-tank...we're all confused tonight...hehe. But I agree when boosting there are so many other sounds and gauge monotoring, etc, that it can seem quieter.

ner -- you have the walbro inline replacing the HRC inline, or the Walbro in-tank alongside the HRC inline...?

Well i have a walbro 255 intake and its great.. As far as the inline.. if u put in a 255 intank..u can take the inline out... it actually does nothing!...the reason it whins so much is cause its trying to pull more fuel then yr intank can handle. which will also cause or can cause yr fuel pressure to fluctuate. once u replace the intank with a bigger one.. the inline can stay, but it serves no purpose at all.. i know this cause i just went thru it.
