46351, using the pcv nipple as a vac source
Posted by 97eclipseRS, Apr-07-03 02:18 PM
has anyone removed their pcv valve and used the nipple as another vac source? i'm trying to find some fittings that will get the hose size of the pcv nipple down to ~1/8" so i can use it for either bov or sfmu. i don't like running them all off other vac lines. i'm going to run the pcv hose to the nipple in the hrc air filter, that way it won't see more than 0psi, but the nipple on the manifold is pretty large. if anyone's done this, i'd appreciate knowing what fittings/hoses you used to reduce the size.

It takes a 3/8" hose. My brake booster is connected to mine now. You can buy tees at an auto place that will reduce it from 3/8" to a 1/4". That should be the right size for a BOV.
