46268, About gauges in general.... Posted by gilee_8, Apr-06-03 08:50 AM
Sup guys... This is a very stupid question, but I just bought a EGT gauge from a guy on DSMtrader. and I don't konw what's the size of the gauge. Coz I am planning to go for a 3 gauges pod for my 2G eclipse. But I really don't konw how I tell what size I need and what size I got.. I do'nt want to buy the other 2 gauges with different size...tha'ts horrible man.
Here..check out this two pictures first.

those are my measure of the EGT gauge I got. Tell me which size I should be looking at for buying the other 2 gauges and the pod if I am looking for the same size? Also, converting to inches..waht is it? 2 1/6? 2 3/5 ???? I have no clue...I guess I am just suck at math..>thanks for the help guys..... Gil.

I think that should fit the Autometer triple pod mount just fine with the others. The back is the measurement that counts because that front part with the rim around it will be sticking out of the pod holes.
One thing I was puzzled on is why your EGT gauge only goes to 1200?

The gauge goes to 1200 C not F. He's got the ability to read a lot Higher temps than the autometers can.
You may have to file a little bit off the gauge pod to make the gauge fit if it's a little to big. I have always used autometer so I am not 100% sure.

Nice, I was scared when you say why it's only 1200 degree... I thought I got rip off or something..lol.
Anyway, if I am going for a A/F gauge, and boost gauge.. And I want to get the same size as my current EGT gauge. What size should I get that will give me the same size gauges???
Coz when I convert the 52mm into inches...it never meet the same as the 2 1/6 inch or other measurement for the other gauges.... Any ideas? or clue?
Thanks guys. Gil:thumbsup

i've got that same egt. it's 52mm, which is very slightly bigger then 2 1/16", but it will fit fine in the triple gauge 2 1/16 pillars. you'll just have to shave a very little bit off of the cup for that gauge.
