The FMIC option from HRC is only $400 more. Can you get your sponsor to offer you the HRC w/FMIC for $2800?? If so, that would be my vote.

What do you want to do with the car?
Show? FMIC Autox? FMIC,HRC Drag? FMIC,Star Track? FMIC,HRC Rally? SMIC,HRC Street? SMIC Cheap? SMIC Stay NA? NOIC,NER
I think my point was that... you should do what you want. FMIC's cost more, and work a little better. Everything else is up to you.

I believe Hahn has a better fuel set up that Star. Plus Hahn has a better customer support than Star from what I hear. Hahn all the way. I do like the T3/T04 though.

actually , every one is always complaining about hahn's fpr. the lousy thing about star is the pressure loss from the intercooler and yes not support. but its not that bad.

I have heard guys complain about the design of the STAR fmic, plus it's smaller than the HRC, and yeah $2800 for a HRC stage 2 with the FMIC option is a great price. That extra money saved can go toward the SFMU, the missing link, clutch, exhaust, gauges, or any other useful mod. That's my vote...:D

actually the HRC 2 is $2400...so the price is right...the money i save will probably go to pistons/rods, or something alon those line....already have exhaust, clutch and all that...so looks like i'll be going with the HRC..

maybe im just still a newbie, but in some aspects, the star sounds better. better fmu, an hks bov, better fuel pump.i also thought the star kits were cheaper?
performance: K&N intake, 2.5 piping w/ magnaflow, msd wires, pacesetter header, ported tb, custom short shifter suspension: 1.5 tenzo drop, rear strut bar. looks: stock skirts, stock 16s, leather interior future: rear disc, star stage 1

Price was a plus for STAR, but he can get a deal, and at $2400 the HRC is far and beyond. :D

As long as you can get the fmic with hahn it's not a bad choice. What do you want to do with it though? Are you going for all out horsepower? If so you'll have to upgrade the hahn turbo and all of that, so think about what you want. The hahn FMIC is better IMO, but stars is not that bad with pressure drop in my experience but the Hahn is bigger. (in fact the hahn may have more pressure drop than the star, but I have not researched)
