It's made by Permatex and it's called "Copper Spray-A-Gasket" Like $6 at Autozone. It should be in the same area as the loctite and stuff like that.

I use 1500* barbeque paint. Works well and holds up to the heat. After a few months, ends up the same subtle grey as the copper spray.

What's with you and barbeques Dino?
Anyone heard of the Star kits coming with a silver painted manifold? I got this one from someone on the board but another person said they got a replacement from Wyatt and it came silver.

yeah its the same gasket spray you use on the head gasket. I'll be trying this out on my turbo and mani once its all back together.

that copper spray eh? i bought some when i put my headgasket on cuz the goofy instruction told me to buy some kinda mopar gasket sealer. so what will it look like when it burns grey? NE1 got a picture of it burned?
hmm that silver star manifold looks polished, because the inside of the turbo flange is all shiny, I'm going to polish my star manifold b4 i put it back on its kinda rough since I port and polished my head might as well get everything as smooth as possible :-), doesn't need to be ported though the star manifold has way bigger ports than the head.
I can spray the copper stuff on the flanges too huh, help it seal better? I bought that big ol can might as well make some use out of it.

i think dougie2 did something with the copper spray about a months ago when he was doing his rebuild. he might be able to post some pictures. or maybe it wasn't him. anyways, after it's all burnt off it looks a dull gray color, kind of like what my HRC manifold looked like when it was brand new.
i painted my exhaust manifold and turbo with 1200 degree exhaust paint and it started burning off within 5 minutes of starting it up for the first time. most of it has burnt off, but it's still a dull gray color. i think it still looks kind of nice.

i might be able to post a picture of what it looks like now sometime this weekend when i get access to a digital camera. my method sort of worked, but it's not the best for making exhaust components not look like rusty death. i probably should have gone with dino's idea or the copper spray.
