I have a Triple A-Pilar Gauge Pod and I want to hook up all my gauges. Where did you route the wires? Did you drill into the firewall? Also where are the wires that you tied into? And where do you tap the Air/Fuel Gauge into? Thanks.

I run ALL of my wires through the rubber grommet on the passenger side under the glove compartment. I think I'm going to route half of them to a new hole on the driver's side (not sure where yet) while I install new gauges and turbo components this weekend.

i cut a slit in the steering boot. depends what gauges your hooking up. if u want to have them light up when your headlights come on, you could tap them into the ciggerette lighter bulb wire. a/f gauge hooks up to the o2 sensor wire comming out of the ecu (i forgot the color) and just find a good ground somewhere close.

Yeah I too ran my wires thru the steering boot. But getting all the wires for three gauges thru the side of the pillar is a pain. I had to tape the ends to a metal hanger and try to navigate them up and then go from there. But then you must do in reverse if some wires go into the engine bay..:wary. Give yourself some time to do it, I am sure you'll figure it out.

hehe, i did the hanger trick too... very tedious though. had my head on the clutch pedal for like an hour, hehe.

just a couple hints to make things easier...there is a good grounding spot to the left of the fuse box or you can use a bolt in the frame of your dash(where the stereo is, you have to remove the interior piece that runs by your right leg)...for the 12v i would use the cig lighter...its a 12v switched so it will work w/ only w/ the ignition on...the easiest way to run the wires to the pillar itself is to remove the weather stripping on the inside of the door, it just pulls out of the way and you can get to the wires from underneath much easier than dropping them in the hole and trying to find them....find the pinout w/ this link
looks like B30, white w/ black strip.....hope that helps

or to make things even simplier you can tap into your fuse box.... the light will be on when ever the car is on but when you shut it off the power will go off from your gauges..........

you can also hard wire your radar det. this way too if you have one...

I tapped the wire for the stock gauge lights. to run the wires I took off the rubber "liner" that goes around the door, and one by one put the wires there and slid them in behind the dashboard.

ohh if you don't want to run the 3 lighting wires (one for each gauge)... just get a thicker wire and run it to your power source and then just tap the gauges to that one wire.

God, when my friends and I were doing my wiring for my gauges it was like an episode of the 3 stooges. My two other friends are very good with electronics and I'm just ok. Anyway, I can't count how many times a coat hanger poked someone in the face or a wire got dropped into the engine bay. Like he /\ said. Give yourself plenty of time to do it.

A coat hanger, slit in steering boot and more fucking patience then I'll ever have.

I wired them to the green & black/yellow wire behind the bezel for the cruse control switch / elec mirror. They will power up then you turn your lights on, and thier close to the pillar. Also good for lights of stalth mode when engadging in shifty bussiness. }(

steering boot here, I use one of those spark plug grabber claws to grab the wire where in it come out of the boot from the engine bay.
