People have said you can get them from vortech or hahn. I talked to brad at hahn last week and he had no idea what i was talking about. I can't find it on vortechs site either. :wary

Yes, you can get them at HRC or Vortech directly. Both places that part is NOT on the websites. I believe HRC is cheaper, just ask for the FPR boost bleed valve, AND the vacuum restrictor that connects to the bleed valve. You should use both on the SFMU, just like the HRC FPR kits. I *think* the valve is around 20-25 bucks.

from what i have seen, if it is a vortech part number then it should be okay. The vortech bleed valve coes with a 1/8npt adapter for the standard fmu, but the sfmu does not need the 1/8 npt adapter. the thread is really small, somethinglike 10-32 or something like that.

when tuning w/ the bleed valve in the sfmu, should i start out w/ it closed all the way and open it(unscrew) as needed?

Yes, start with it closed off. This lets the SFMU act like no boost pressure is being bled off, and uses the rise rate of the internal disk. If you run rich, then in SMALL increments ( 1/4 turns at a time), open up the bleed valve, until your EGT's and A/F ratio are looking good. The bleed valve is an excellent thing to have, to fine tune your car. It gives you a lot of control over your fuel pressures under boost, which is a good thing :)
