wasup guys ... i was just wondering if star made a stage 3 kit??..i know hrc does...but alot of people i've talked to tell me to go with the star..i'm about to start building a 420a(hoping for around 450-500hp)so do u think this is posible???i'm about to come across a lil bit of money and want to get as much as i can while i'm doin it

get a star stage II, then get a howell (or where ever else) bottom end, and then you have a stage III

450-500hp is a pretty huge goal there. Good luck :thumbsup

Just throw the stages out of your head and do the mods you need to make the power. ;)

well said. stages really don't mean much. just make sure that as you up the boost you upgrade the necessary parts and add the necessary monitoring and controler items so that your engine works right.

thats y i'm goin to build the motor and take it to a shop and let them put in in and tune it and get what else i need(tuning tools)and i will have atleast 450hp...i'll post pics of my car on the dyno and the readouts

Armond has the highest dyno #'s on the board at 405 WHP and thats w/rebuilding his motor a couple times and running a lot of boost. 25psi Im guessing on a 20G. Plus it helps that he is a tuning beast. Even Hahns race car puts out about 400 WHP Im guessing. To get your goal of 450 WHP Im guessing you will need about 10G's in your car.

HRC came on the board before and reported a 500 HP dyno.

With the bigger turbo and the use of nitrous with head work, Bill Hahn said he's now hoping for HP totals to reach to 600-700 mark.

well I would guess that the star t3/4 would help alot in reaching those goals ?
Agreed, Don't mind the stages. If your going for those high HP numbers then money shouldn't be the first thing on your mind ( the reason behind stages), Get a goal in mind and work up to that. Start with items that will support those numbers from the start.

just get a turbo kit for now, and you will 'think' your car is fast for a while.. then add a little things and you will be faster... if you dont know much about engines/tuning your not going to get 450hp at a decent price. if that...stages are no big thing...

Just so you know... Hahns page says stage 3 but they actually stopped selling that kit, Im almost positive... Actually they told me they stopped making it when I tryed to order it. They now sell stage 1,2,4,5 and what they refer to as a stage 2.5 which is everything needed to acheive the boost levels of what they refer to as stage 3 (including internals) but without the nesessary fuel system. Just a little info for you.

Didn't realize Hahn said that Jason. They need to get cams and do some headwork to their car. They ran mid 11's w/o headwork or nitrous right jason? Its porbably gonna take awhile but Id luv to see them, or someone on here hit 10's. Not many FWD DSM's can accomplish that. I would think w/ head work and nitrous you could drop to at least low 11's. Do they have LSD?

what happened to the star website.

try www.racepret.net , its wyatt's shops site, he even has the star kits listed ont he site. I liked turbogs.com alot better.
