I need to rotate the compressor housing housing on my IHI RHB5 180%. I unbloted the wastegate bracket and took out all the bolts around the perimeter of the housing, but it still doesn't move. Is there something I'm missing?

I don't know about your turbo, but my T25 has a big "C" ring that holds my compressor housing in place. My exhaust side has the bolts that hole it in, and whey they are freed then that side turns.

What about on a 14b?

I would assume the 14b would be similar to the t-25 with the c-clip that you would have to remove. I think you also have to rotate the center section on the 14b to get the oil drain on the bottom.

Yeah, the 14b center section needs to be turned as well. As far as how to do it - I lost the link that explained how to do it for a 16g, but there was mention of some dowel pins that needed to be ground down after taking the housing off. From what I remember of the thread, the dowel pins are there to help locate the housing to the proper position for a stock Eclipse. After you grind them off then you can position the center section however you want. I haven't taken mine apart yet so I don't know for sure if these pins are on the 14b...but I do know that you should definately(somehow) be able to rotate the center section and re-clock the compressor on the 14b.

Well actually my main concern is if the stock 14b from a 1G will fit fine, like the outlet pipe actually points out towards the engine like on the hrc kits not on some wierd random angle.

To rotate a 14b/16g center housing you have to do the following:

1.) Remove the clamp holding the exhaust housing to the centre housing.
2.) Remove the LARGE snap ring holding the compressor housing to the centre housing.
3.) Rotate the compressor housing to the desired position.
4.) Replace large snap ring.
5.) Grind down locating pin on center housing to allow different position of exhaust housing.
6.) Replace clamp to hold the exhaust housing in place.

Before you comence step 3 you will need to decide the correct position for both the compressor housing and the exhaust housing so that the wastegate actuator still functions correctly....
