On a internal watsegate when u adjust the rod to lower the boost dose the flapper surpose to be open cause mind is or is it sursope to stay close at all times. I might have adjust it too long. Thanks for the help

The wastegate flapper should be closed when no boost is on it, as this helps spool the turbo up fast. Once the wastegate actuator starts to see boost at what its set at, the flapper starts to open up to divert exaust gases to keep the turbo from building more boost pressure. Hope this helps.
