44618, Finally finished collecting parts for my custom turbo system! (parts/price list...) Posted by dougie2, Mar-11-03 05:32 PM
Here's everything I've collected over the last few months for a custom stage 3 turbo system. Now I'm ready to install it! My total cost was $2200. It's been fun choosing parts but it's very tedious and time consuming. All in all I'm very satisfied with my parts and wouldn't choose any of the manufactered kits over it.

looks good :thumbsup .........but for stage 3 you need upgraded internals, unless you already have and i didnt see it. also how are you planning on running those dsm injectors?

you can run the 4g63 injectors if you wire in the resistor pack off a 4g63

Yeah, and I have a pretty built motor. It should handle whatever I throw at it!

Whered u get the intercooler pipes and the downpipe? Were they custom made or did you buy them somewhere?
Good luck on the turbo kit, let us know how it goes :)

IC pipes came from JCWhitney.com. Couplers from Thermalflex.com. My downpipe and full 2.5" were fabicated at Ray's Custom Exhaust in Smyrna TN. It's a full turbo-back straight back pipe.

Would you know by chance which pipes you had to buy from JC Whitney? Ive been trying to look at them online and havent had too much sucess. I cant really find anything local around here to make me a downpipe, do you think the place you got yours at could replicate yours for a price? What exhaust manifold are you using?

They are called "madrel bends". They are aluminum and are in the exhaust section on their site.

Mine's custom. You'll need to find a shop that can fabricate it while the turbo is installed so it'll fit right. Call some performance shops in your area and ask them who does good custom exhaust work.
>What exhaust manifold are >you using?
It's custom made by Got Tude Automotive (motofool).

YES!!! I am absolutely interested in your downpipe. Ill pick it up along with the exhaust manifold when you make them, just let me know. Ill need it to bolt upto a stock 1g o2 housing.
