Hey im tring to build an electronic boost controler. I want to rig it to my cruse control lever on my steering wheel. I think it would be neat-o. :thumbsup So my question is, where can i find an electronic pressure regulator for a reasonable price. I can build the circut to control it myself. I searched just about every web search i can think of. thanks!

Electronic boost controllers generally use duty-cycle solenoid valves. They basically keep the valve closed (blocking WG signal) until the max boost level is nearly reached. At that point, they start to flicker the valve open and closed at varying rates to maintain the max boost pressure. If you can build a controller that does this as good as a Profec-B, then props to you. Otherwise, I'd try making a dual MBC with a solenoid to switch in between boost levels. Or buy a used Profec-B (or similar).

I've heard the Joe P MBC can be made into an electric boost controller for an additional $100 or so but I haven't seen anything to back this up yet.

That just turns it into an electrically controlled dual stage boost controller. But it's still a MBC.
