44276, Few questions Posted by Ryan_Hes, Feb-20-01 08:16 AM
I have a few questions about nitrous.
1. Where could I buy myself a 'wet' system 2. How much would it run me? 3. It is tough to install. 4. Is it safe on my engine? 5. When is it used? (Open throttle only?)

>1. Where could I buy myself >a 'wet' system
Your on your own for for the most part cause I cant think of too many off the top of my head except NOPI for NOS (you'll need the turbo kit). Howell sells Nitrous Works and CNNP sells NX
>2. How much would it run >me?
$450-500 for a basic kit. NX generation kit included bottle heater, purge ect but they dont come free (expect several hunded $$ more)
>3. It is tough to install.
Not if you have basic electrical knowledge (or can follow directions). Wiring is like foglights. the rest is physical installation.
>4. Is it safe on my >engine?
Count the number of blown turbo engines and blown nitrous engines on this board and make your own decision.
>5. When is it used? (Open >throttle only?)
At WOT only usually at 3000rpm and above (NOS recommends no lower than 2500rpms)
