44239, Wet system Posted by guest, Mar-06-01 04:07 AM
I was wondering if the wet system is safe on my car with a 50 shot? Because some guy the other day told me that wet wasnt safe and I would blow my motor. Seeing as I have a 96 and have to go with a wet. Whats the deal with wet? Oh and can I pass smog with nitrous?
thanks

that won't be a problem because when you are not using the nos, the car will be running like stock. You won't be spraying when they are testing for smog.

That's a good question cause I heard our valves and rings are VERY sensitive to detonation.

Well you just said it. Sensitive to detonation (BTW $500 forged pistons melt with detonation too). Avoid it. You wont have any if installed properly especially with a 50hp shot. I think a 50hp shot is pretty mild.
