44208, Which Kit?? 5123 or 5208
Posted by Jon, Mar-14-01 05:39 PM
I have a 1997 rs, what kit do i need from NOS? 5123 or 5208. I saw at the import shop today 5123 seems to be universal for cars, used on acuras, and hondas also. or do i need the 5208 kit? carparts.com has the 5123 kit listed as for 2.4 or 3.0L engines?? I just want to get the right system. what else might i need for the install besides what comes with the kit? gauges?

You want kit 5208. 5123 will fit 95 return line equiped models only. You wont need anything to install except general tools, electrical tape/connectors (whatever you use to install radios/fogs ect). The best accessory you can get in my opinion is a bottle heater (gauge helps too but what good is it if you cant do anything about it. really nitrous pressure gauge and bottle heater go hand in hand. that said I dont have any gauge, just the heater).

Oh yeah use loctite blue 242 (easy to find) anywhere that teflon paste is required. Works better, less messy. Got that tip from a shop and have used it since 97'. Just dont use tape on anything.
