44177, Q? Where do you have your Switch located?
Posted by SpyderMan, Feb-19-01 09:37 PM
I'm getting my Setup this weekend. I can't decide where to put the on/off switch. I was thinking either below the hazard button, or next to the cig. lighter. If you guys have any pics, pls post. Thanks Alot!

Its between the cruise control and the power mirror switches now that I look at it.

Right above the cruise control switch. I guess thats where the factory fog light switch was but since I didn't have factory fog lights I put it there. Bottle heater switch is on the panel that pops out under and to the left of the steering wheel.

Ours is on the lower side of the stereo hole. Have an aftermarket single DIN so there is a black plastic space there.
If you have blank spaces just use those like Stan said.

Yeah the din space would be a good place for a multi-switch set up. You could even use half for switches and the other half for a half din electronic (like turbo timer or elect boost controller) but I have an indash x-over there.

i park in a garage, so i never use my rear defroster....could i unhook it, and run the arming wire into the defroster and have the nitrous armed when i push the defroster button? i thought this would be pretty cool and have the stealth look too. also, the light would be on when its armed, so i would know!

the defroster switch in my car automatically shuts off after like 10-15 mins- that may be a problem in your case

Should you could do that with the defrost switch. You would just run the wires from the nitrous kit to the existing defrost switch. You may have to dis-assemble the switch to find out how it works first though. EvMan mentioned that the defroster shuts off automatically, that is controlled by the defrost circuit not the switch itself.

That sounds like a better idea for the bottle heater. I dont see why it wouldn't work but I need my defroster bad here when its cold.
