My machine shop guys seems to think that if I mount my NOS solenoids on my cross member, and run steel braided hose up to the distribution blocks, and from there jsut use the hard lines going to the foggers, that I will crack a hose or something. I have solid polyeurathane side motor mounts, and a solid front motor mount, and polyeurathane rear mount inserts, so my motor ISN'T going to move. I have the pro race kit, so I hav ethe really fancy foggers and the fancy distribution blocks and the heavy duty solenoids. the foggers are mounted under the intake manifold. IS it ok to just let the distribution blocks "hang" from the hard lines as long as I have steel braided hose feeding them with enough slack, or will I have problems. MY shop guy wanted me to make a bracket to mount the solenoids on the block, but I don't think that will be the best solution. Any feedback is appreciated.

I see the distribution block just hung in the air all the time held up by the hard lines even the with solinoids threaded directly into the distribution blocks via brass fitting but solinoids can pretty much go anywhere if you got line to reach. As far as mounting to the crossmember (strut bar I'm assumming) I dont really care for that and have only seen it once. Strut bars can flex too and not always in the direction of the engine torquing. I would thread the solinoid outputs directly into the blocks with a fitting or mount them on the firewall. If your engine flexes ANY (even with motormounts) you'll be better off letting the distribution blocks hang free.

no no no no no, not on the STB hehehe. I really meant on the front crossmember (big section of frame by the Power steering rack :) ). since my foggers are underneath the intake manifold anyway, I figured it wouldn't me much of a stretch. (people actually mount stuff on strut tower bars?????????)

my buddy Joe (BLKOUT) had his mounted down there for a LONG time and never had any problems with it. Kind of a "sleeper" install.
