ok i have seen a kit for a T/A from venom that just totally rocks. also it has alot of safety features to save your engine. does anyone know if there is a kit that works on the 420A? also is it worth the diff in price. the cheapest i have seen is 1100 dollars but if i get it and set the computer for a 50hp boost then i should be extra safe and i can use it when i got turbo-nitro

Yes they make a kit that works and yes it does some trick sh*t. If cost is not a factor and you want nitrous get it but usually people get nitrous due to lack of money. For $1100up I think I'd save but thats just me. If you want it you want it.

what i want is power/reliability. from what i have heard i guess the chance of messing up you sh!t is alot less than say using a NOS or NX kit. anyone know the part number for the venom kit. the only kits i can find for some reason are for v-8 muscle cars. also can i use the venom kit when i go turbo like you are stan?

sweet i found th ekit for my car but now my main concern is do i need the venom 400 control module and the fuelrail and the injectors or will rc 440 injectors be fine. also what is a good fuel pump to get? remember i want to go turbo next year with nitro. hehehe eventually i want a hrc stage 5. LOL with a 20g/n turbo so i can run a 75shot with the turbo

Venom 400 doesn't do sh*t you cant do by putting your foot down. DOnt need it (nobody needs it). Fuel rail if they make it not needed either. 400+hp has been achieved on the stock fuel rail (hahn 11 sec turbo) so the big fuel rail honda craze I dont understand.

Since the venom is dry larger injectors will allow you to run a bigger shot however you will still need at the very least an AFC or the new HKS fuel computer to run 440cc injectors. Also remember those 440cc injectors are on cars running over 10lbs of boost ALL THE TIME. I'd wait for the turbo before I got such large injectors cause thats way too big to be normally aspiration 99% of the time.

Use the pump the turbo kit comes with (or the like prior to getting the kit). With larger injectors you wont overtax the fuel pumps included in the turbo kits. With the stock bottom end fuel is no more the limiting factor than the internals so again I'd wait on this until I had the turbo. Venom will not allow you to spray more than your injectors can handle at %80 duty cycle so fuel pump for safety isn't a concern initially. Venom claims to use their off the shelf nitrous kit in their turbo civic so I guess it will work with turbo but I dont like the idea of injectors being responsible for turbo AND nitrous fuel enrichment (at least not without a $1000+ engine management system which you know the civic has).

so for now should i just go with a nos wet kit? i thought dry wouldnt work on our engine 97+ ??? well i think i will wait for turbo for all the fuel stuff but i really want power and dont want to risk ruining my engine more than i have to. i know shit happens but if i can reduce that risk as much as possible.

He can spray Venom dry because it doesn't rely on a regulator/return line set up for fuel. It increases pulse width modulation of the injector signal (just like a factory ECU does when you stomp on it) via computer software so its a go if you like it. I didn't say you should just go wet but get more info on the venom in regards to use with aftermarket turbo kit. I'd contact them direct.

you could just get "windows" that prevent the nitrous from coming on at certain rpm.
if you wanna get really fancy, jacobs makes a nitrous controller as well, but if you're gonna buy all that, you may be better of with the venom kit.

I know of a few people online who have the venom 400 in hondas and they say it ain't all that.

I just got my Venom kit for my Avenger V6 and it has 3 different modes... drag, timed, and linear.

Drag.. is like conventional kits... at WOT the NOS kicks in. However there is no button or pedal switch, its all TPS activated.

Linear.. you can program at X throttle angle X amount of NOS will be injected and progressively increased to a pre-programmed amount of NOS at WOT. So you can program a progressive shot of NOS from 20 shot to 100 shot, starting at 15% throttle angle introducing the 20 shot, and ending at WOT with the 100 shot.. kinda like a a turbo (or so venom claims).

This is what you guys with 5spds that already worry about spining or for those that have turbo and want a slight kick before you fully spool...

Timed... you can program a specified shot starting at a specified amount of time AFTER reaching WOT. Sooo you guys that spin like mad at the line that obviously dont need NOS at the line can program it to kick in say 2-3 secs after launching.
