What am I gonna need to run a 125-shot on my car. I already have the NOS system of course, and I'm getting the JE pistons and having my stock rods shotpeened and balanced. Do you think the internals will be ok? And, what did you do for fuel? Do I just need a bigger fuel pump? Let me in on the info man, since I gotta pull my motor(spun bearing), I might as well put it back in and have it be faster :-) !

If I were you, I wouldn't keep the stock rods. IMO they are kinda small, I would know because I had one sticking through the block about a year ago after I spun my bearing the 2nd time. I would spend $1099 on the Howell rebuild kit with 10.5 compression pistons and you could spray a 125 shot with that, Direct Port of course. I would put in a larger intank fuel pump or put in an external fuel pump. Maybe even larger injectors and an AFC.

You spun a bearing??!! i didnt know that, that sux man. but it is an excuse for big HP now!! anyways, about the kit, i agree with the above, if you are getting JE pistons, spend the extra 350 bucks and get a set of Eagle rods. that set-up will laugh at a 125 shot. fuel needs...get the Walbro 255 fuel pump. thats what i run. no reason to get bigger injectors, if u did, you would drown your car while driving off the bottle. let me tell ya this though...save for a clutch, the stock one has something against a 125-shot of nitrous, and so does the tranny, at least mine did. good luck with it man, and lemme know how it goes.

Do you think I will need a direct port set-up? I know it would be better, but I thought you were running that 125-shot in the wet set-up. I have a 95 so I have the dry kit, do you think I'll still be alright. I think I'll do the rebuild kit from howell, 10.5 compression will be OK with a 125-shot? I was under the impression that I had to lower the compression? Let me know guys, point me in the direction and I'll go there!

well, i did use the NX wet kit for a little while, but direct port is a LOT safer with higher shots, no chance of puddling in the intake manifold. i wouldnt use a dry kit either, but if u did, u would need those bigger injectors, cause it uses intensified injector pulse to add the necessary extra fuel. i think you would be ok with 10.5 compression....but you would definitely need the rods also. and i would never go with lower compression on a street driven nitrous setup, cause that would make ur car run slow as shiz when off the bottle.

Damn man, I'm confused as to what to do! I already have the dry kit because I'm a '95. I don't have a lot of $$$ so bigger injectors is gonna be a no no. If I got injectors, I'd need a AFC or something to tune them properly correct? As far as direct port, If it is fairly easy to do, then I will do it. I have a bunch of guys that are helping me daily on this(taking the motor out now), so we could try. What had to be done? And if converting to DP is too hard, can I convert to a wet setup from dry? Wait, wait, one more question. If I do stay dry with the stock injectors, what is the highest shot I could run on them? Thanks alot man, you've been very helpful, I appreciate all the help(because I need it!!)

OK, lets see here.

Converting to a DP kit from a dry kit. You will need to by 4 twin fogger nozzles, a nitrous distribution block, brass line to run to each nozzle from the block, a fuel distribution block, and the appropriate flare jets 8 total. Also, you will need to purchase a solenoid for the fuel, tap your fuel system, and the appropriate lines to run from the fuel line to the solenoid, and then to the dist block. Next you will have to bung the intake manifold. You can probably take this somewhere and get it done relatively cheap.

Converting dry kit to a wet kit. You will need 1 dual nozzle, 2 short braided stainless lines, the solenoid and the flare jets 2 total.

With a dry kit, I would never run more than a 60 shot. You will need extra fuel, or you could risk detonation.

If your internals can handle it, a 125 shot can be done with proper fuel enrichment. What size are your stock injectors? A larger fuel pump, a larger fuel flare jet, and a fuel pressure regulator might suffuce depending on the size of your injectors. You will also want to retard the timing approx 5 to 7 degrees for a 125 shot. How you can do that if you are computer controlled on your cars is beyond me.

I agree with everything the guys above have told you. If you really want to go 125 shot, go DP. Puddling sucks!
