43340, Pulling fuel rail valve: need to depressurize fuel system???
Posted by dougie2, Nov-10-01 07:35 AM
I'm installing my Nitrous system today. Do I need to depressurize the fuel system when I pull the schrader valve from the fuel rail? If so, what is the process to do this? Or do I just need a couple towels for the fuel that leaks out?

Unscrew your gas cap, still have towels on hand though, just in case.:)

With the car running after removing the back seat pull the fuel pump connector and wait for the engine to cut off. Fuel rail depressurized!

Hmmm... I didn't think of that, I'll give it a try. Does anyone know if the fuel, nitrous, and purge solenoids have to be mounted vertically or can they be or horizontally or even upside down?

Ok, thanks... I just trashed the worthless NOS bracket and made my own. So now the solenoids are vertical and look nice.
