43261, Big shot??? Posted by esi420, Nov-18-01 06:33 PM
Hey guys,
I have a 95 Talon Esi and I am rebuilding the entire motor. Im ordering the Howell bottom end kit:7, but I dont know what compression to get. I assume 10.5
Also, if I upgrade the fuel system, and get that kit, what is the biggest shot I would be able to use.
Would SS valves make a difference??
Thanks guys

You could probably run a 100 shot, maybe even 125 shot. As far as the valves go, that would be a good idea with that much nitrous, that and more fuel!

www.cnnpracing.com
Get 1mm or 2mm oversized to increase flow. If you are changing the valves, get the head ported and slight polishing, At least 3 angle (30,45,70)valve job. You could get a 5 angle but I don't know the specs for the other 2 angles. Get valvesprings too, Either crane with titanium retainers or the RAGE dual valve springs from CNNP.

Is it expensive to get the valve seats resized?? I might just get the full ported head from extreme420a.com
Can I use my stock valves, springs, retainers etc if I use a 100 shot as long as I get a 3 angle done.
The reason I ask is that I am not made of money. If I could just use the stock stuff and go with a full port and polish that would be a more effective route for me
