Just wondering what would happen in a race btwn. a turbo and stock eclipses with minimal mods. And would a car with nitrous most likely be able to beat all other imports (integras. etc.)?

Depends on the shot size you use but yes some of the nitro guys and girls are faster than the turbo guys. To go higher than a 75 shot on the NT eclipse you need to increase fuel and getforged internals.

Can, lets say a 60 shot, be run off stock internals with intake, exhaust, and an udp? I don't think i wanna go turbo because i only need to be fast every once in awhile, so saving 1500 sounds pretty good. but would the car be able to hold up with just those mods?

looks like you've already answered your question. i got a nx kit, used the 50 shot...upped it to a 75...and still crave more. i need it all the time, so i'm going turbo next month. you might find out you like it more than you think, but yeah, if you're only using it everynow and then, go nitro.

We used to beat stock turbo DSM's with a 50 shot, CAI and GST exhaust.
Using a 60 shot, CAI, WS catback and UDP we beat most semi modded turbo DSM's. (we have a 5 speed, semi modded means like stage 1, 2g's w/BOV, upper IC, intake & exhaust)
Driving skills help a lot too :)

i heard a 60 shot on a 420a should hold up fine.. just dont use it all the time.. we have a strong bottom end..

i saw a RS with intake exhaust and 50 shot. not sure what else..

get creamed by a gst.. but he had a t3 and some other goodies.. but the RS wanted to race..

alright...im tryin to see what i could do with some nos. is there anyway an AT eclipse w/intake, upd, and exhaust, running a 75 shot could beat a 2000 base model 5 spd camaro? i want to put some money (low amounts like 20) on races if i decide to get nos, but i dont wanna be embarrased AND have to pay up because i overrated my ride. any help would be appreciated...thanks

The newer base model Camaro's (stock) run in the low to mid 15's so that is what you would have to shoot for with your car. Auto 2g n/t's ussually run in the mid 17's w/intake. You would have to knock off more than 2 sec. in the 1/4 or hope they are really bad drivers. On a 5 speed n/t we knocked off 1.7 sec in the 1/4 with the 60 shot from a 16.3. If that helps any..
I suggest before betting money that you take the car to the track and see what you run, practice make perfect :)
