Just curious who is spraying w/ a turbo in here. First off do u lower you boost at the track when your spraying? cause my RPM climb so fast now at 8.5psi so 8.5psi and spraing would be insane I bet. I dont wanna kill myself but I wouldn't mind the extra power. Im replacing timing belt and water pump soon and getting a UDP. Then I plan to stregthen stock rods, get JE Pistons, total seal piston rings and some cams if they come out w/ some soon. With that setup Ill try 10 psi daily and 12 at track and see if Im happy w/ that. Otherwise Ill lean towards spraying a 50 shot. I aint running anything higher then that.

guess no one in here is turbo'ed and spraying. and since that post a week ago I fucked up my internals, most likely pistons or rings or both so now I gotta rebuild w/ no $.

Actually, a few of us are set up to be turbo and nitrous, but have not actually used both yet! I know of me, Armond, and Brad for sure. The intention is to only use it on race gas. The turbo by itself is more than enough on the street and pump gas.

i have ran nitrous along with the turbo on the street, but never have at the track yet. i use a wet kit. its pretty crazy with the juice too.

What boost are you running? I have been so focused on just trying to run high boost (20psi on pump gas so far) I have not even bothered with the nitrous. I am only set up for a 60shot dry to run on top of maybe 25psi and race gas with the DFI controlling fuel which I thought would be plenty to get me down the track.

How much boost were you running when you blew the bottom end? I'm trying to sell some stuff so I can buy my stageI kit or a NOS kit and I don't feel like having a rebuild on my shorlty after.

I will probably never use the NOS, high boost is plenty for me, and i havent got into the track scene yet, just my road warrior... so NOS has not been needed. Here is a pic of the manifold when the kit was installed awhile back. With a properly tuned engine with a stage 4 or 5 setup, and other goodies you need, you will be running upwards of 375-450hp... thats a lot of stress to be putting on a engine that was designed for 150hp fuel economy car, hehe, NOS at your own risk :-) Have some rebuild money laying around just incase.

Murix: im "just" running 15psi right now, along with the wet NX kit. the nitrous does pretty good for me, isnt HRC running a dry nitrous setup on their RS?

No, I beleive its an NX wet kit.

How did you mess up your internals anyway? What did you do, and what were you running when you messed them up?
