i have a p&p stage 3 head from westside performance, stainless steel oversized valves, titanium springs, eagle rods, je pistons .020 over(12.5 comp), 55mm throttle body, ported intake manifold, crane street grind cams, fidanza cam gears, unorthodox racing pulley, full 2 1/2" custom exhaust system, sebring muffler, hi-flow cat, msd coil, magnecor wires, zex nitrous plugs, cold air intake, 4-2-1 headers, 2100lb act clutch, jet v controller, and of course NOS 100 shot. It has cost me about $7200 to rebuild with parts and some labor. I assembled the motor with a friend but the port and polish i sent away.
before i started working on the show part of my car i gutted the whole car and got rid of the powersteering. i just took off the belt. i did not have the cams and cam gears at the time either. i still need a new flywheel, a 2600lb clutch, 4-1 headers instead of the 4-2-1 and a lsd. i am going to be at the mobil 1 import challenge next month. im working on suspension right now because im going to spray a 175 shot up there, and i dont want to kill myself from something snappin. also this guy at a weld shop by my house needs to finsih my roll cage. you gotta have that to run under 12's. i will post up some time slips after that show. if i can help anyone let me know. i have some good machine shops down here. you can check out my ride on dsmtuners.com. i have some pictures on there. they are kind of old but they will do. i will take some pictures of the inside of the motor when i replace the eagle rods with crower ones so you guys dont think im blowin hot air up your asses. i dont believe in the people who say they have this and that but only run like 14's. it doesnt make sense. anyways i hope you like the pictures

I dont doubt you to be honest. its just it totally caught me off guard. when i saw your time. i am very impressed. yeah i am aware about the whole rollcage deal as i had one in my old chevelle. but thats another story. Great job and keep it up... altho one thing i wasnt aware of is that ACT made clutches for us....?

i dont have a complete act clutch kit. your are correct they dont have one. i'm using the disk from one. Ultra g non-modular stage 1 clutch w/ act disk from the turbos. i believe you can use an aftermarket disk on a stock clutch but you need to talk to a machinist to see what he can do. later bro

You are going to run 175 shot on 12.5 compression? Even with race gas that seems risky...don't blow up!

Right, Jet doesn't do shit and if it did ANYTHING, it would be advancing your timing which when you spray with advanced timing, BOOM.

HUH, now do you have an ACT clutch which isn't even made for our cars or an Unorthodox racing clutch which is what an Ultra G clutch is? Plus not only that, Stage 1 would not hold the amount of power you say that you make. Stage 1 clutchs are made to handle 50 additional HP from nitrous or bolt ons. You would need at least a Stage 4 clutchmasters with that kind of power or custom 6 puck.

all i can say is go down to baytown next month. They have the mobil 1 challenge out there from the 8th-10th. If you want to see what i run and think its all BS, BRING IT!!! as for the pics of my car im the featured photo on dsmtuners.com. I will be posting up new pics of the ones i have on there because i have new parts that were added. Dont hate until you can prove me wrong. Hell im gonna try and go to the track this weekend just so you can stop talkin shit. Why does everyone think that its like sooooo damn impossible to run under yall's 15 sec times. Put some money into the motor instead of bolt-ons and you can see the difference. Until this weekend...hopefully

I'm not hating, I know that these times can be done with these mods, they just haven't been as far as most people know and I've just seen it too many times that people come on the board, talk about fast times and read a mods list out of super street and think people are going to believe them. I try to believe everyone that comes on the board. Brad (Super20G) came on saying he was stage 5 plus nos and also a complete show car. Everyone called BS, Brad showed pics, everyone believes Brad.

Like I said, I know it can be done. In fact, I plan on doing it. I should have my bottom end on the way in a few weeks. Gotta fix the tranny first.

well like i said my car is on dsmtuners.com. its the featured car on there. i will post up slips if i can get to the track this weekend and i will run on street tires as well. until then....

Just a note on one thing I saw - MSD does make coils for our cars now and Armond already has them (of course he always does the loser) and loves them.

Greg runs a 12.8 with only 282fwhp so in that perspective a 100shot should be plenty to crack the 12's with some lightening and other mods. Times listed are actually what they should be with mods listed in my mind.

M_Berrow, welcome and realize that you have no reason to be mad at fast_420A. He is honestly just trying to make sure you are legit which should be no big deal if you are. If it is which is believable the car sounds well setup. I would like to see some pics myself purely because I like seeing pics of fixed up 420A's. We have had a history of people coming up with some interesting things. Some have produced and some have not. I think he just is cynical from being an old timer here :D hehe

If you're going to be at WIC in Baytwon this coming weekend like you say you are, me and the rest of Houston 2GNT will be there with you. So we'll see.. If you are running what you say you're running, i'd love to see it.
