ok, as of now i got all the basic mods:
intake
throttle body
plugs, wires
jet v-force controller
msd dis-2 ignition
greddy sp cat-back
hp header on order

what else should i do to run, say a 50 shot and a 75 shot. in the past import tuner, they ran a 50 shot on intake, header, exhaust, plugs and wires and it went fine. the 99 eclipse did 165hp at the wheels. what all should i take in mind. i do want nitrous and i want to get rods and pistons. but for now, i might stick with cam shaft, cam gears, and a cat.

To run that little of a shot you will need nothing other than a the nitrous kit itself.

You won't need them unless you plan on running over a 75 shot.

Get the cat and then run a wet system useing a 75 shot.

Just keep what your goals are in mind, if you are going all nitrous then you can rebuild your internals but it would be a waste of money if you want to run under a 100 shot, IMO.

If you listed your future plans for the car I could help you out more but thats the only advice I can really give to you givin what you have told me.

Sorry dude but the nitrous will mess up your ride pretty bad if you keep that ignition

He's right, You need to get rid of that thing unless you turn it off when you punch the nitrous.

ok, so if i do run the 50 shot, only run on the stock ignition? by-pass the msd and just spray using the wet system? then why would people buy the ignition? i know for teh turbo's but why for the ignition? if i was running the 100 shot or more, then would i need it?

You could do that.

The only time when you will need upgrade your ignition is when your sqeezin alot of juice.

Yes, as you get into sprayin bigger shots you will need to retard the timeing more depending on the size of the shot.

DON'T GET RID OF THE MSD, YOU ARE GETTING ADVISE FROM PEOPLE THAT MUST NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. The JET piece of trash should be thrown out as it does nothing and if it even did ANYTHING, it would be advancing your timing which is a bad thing with nitrous. You can use the MSD to retard the timing which can allow the use of a higher nitrous shot with the proper tuning. Also the MSD has a stronger spark than the stock ignition which will assure that all the fuel and air is ignited and help your car to idle smoother.

I have a msd dis 2a ignition with a two step rev limiter which is very nice. Anyhow if you didn't have that ignition you would of fried the car. The ignition it's self gives more spark and more power that
's why they make them. When your not using the nos the ignition give's more power, and like mine that two step rev limiter give's you the opportunity to shift at wide open throttle with out taking your foot off the gas pedal when shifting very nice. That is wired to the clutch. When you activate the nos the ignition automatically retards the timing. Mine is set at seven to ten degrees retard when my nos is on and I have a 75 shot. Now One more thing get rid of that jet thing and go with a Apex-i SAFC. Im able to hit 120mph in fourth without nos with that safc. My fuel curve was adjusted to the ignitions rev limiter which is activated at 4000 rpm. It kicks back like a turbo. Long time reader first time poster. It is funny in a way that there are some people who shouldn't be involved in this they have no idea what the hell they are talking about. I've been doing this for seven years now and that is a long time for me. sorry but it is frustrating to me.
