42177, test before play?
Posted by Y2 e c l i p s e d, Mar-19-02 02:35 AM
Did any of you guys test your system before you actually filled your bottle or is there any way? I just finished my install and I was wondering if I could maybe test the fuel supply and press the activation button. My question is, is it going to hurt to spray just that excess fuel into the manifold? Also question for peeps who wired there activation switch... correct me if I am wrong but when hooking up the wiring the 3 positive wires for the nitro, fuel, and wot switch all connect together to go to activation switch correct? I am just wiring this systems based on my knowledge.... I didnt get any instructions for the actual kit cause john(stewart) sorta forgot to include them with my otherstuff.

I have a dry system and all the wot switch is basically a switch operated ground. But as far as the solenoids go, i wired the positives all together. I dont know how your relay is wired but i have one wire to the battery, one to ground, one to microswitch (which is also a ground), and one to the activation switch.

If you just spray your motor with fuel all its going to do is foul your plugs, bogg alot and backfire out your exhaust.

To test I say just use the small shot (25-30) This way if you did something wrong it won't blow the hell out of your mota!

yeah but it wont actually help cause I am not hooking it up to a normal switch. I am hooking it up to a shift knob controller that has a relay controller on it.

you can do the whole activate the system without the nitrous hooked up to ensure the fuel system works properly, you will know INSTANTLY if it is cause the motor will bog way down. shoudlnt bog down long enough to hurt anything though. or...just unplug the line from the solenoid and turn the key to the on position and see if anything sprays out.. :-)
