4162, 4000 rpms

Installed star stage 2. Car likes to die immediatly after getting on the throttle. When I push on the throttle the rpms wont go any higher than 4000 rpms. When the rpms reach 4000, i feel a loss of power. Feels kind of like when you reach the rev limiter at 7000+? rpms. Pushes about 3 lbs and no more. Thanks everyone.

Have you checked the fuel pressure? If it's set too high you might be experiencing fuel-cut. I'm not that it is, but it's a possibility. Also, do you have a fuel-cut defencer module with your kit? I'd get one soon if you don't have one.

Check ALL your vacume lines!!! This is like 99% of all power loss in turbos!!! Greg just found one on his, which is why he was getting full boost at 4-4,500rpms!!! Check EVERYTHING!!!!

Check all your vacuum lines. try easing into the boost instead of romping on the throttle. Does it go higher? Does your wastegate open ?

Check for a loose map sensor wire. Seriously. It does sound like a fuel cut and that can well cause it. I had that prob and it was a wire. It also caused dying probs at idle. Guy loves to repeat over and over how important a good connection is I will let him chime in now :)

What does VC1 stand for? Vacuume Converter? I have the star kit. It uses the fuel cut defensor. I need to know which wires to tap into if you know.

I did not have my fcd working properly. I did not have the red wire on the unit connected to the juice going to the ecu. It is the black wire with a red stripe.
